2012–13 LECTURES Stanley Tigerman and Victoria Lautman is a print and broadcast journalist who has lived in Chicago since 1984. She is Founder and Executive Producer of Writers on the Record with Victoria Lautman, a free monthly author-interview series which incorporates a column in Chicago magazine, an hour-long interview with an audience at Lookingglass Theater, and a simultaneous broadcast on 98.7WFMT Radio. Prior to launching the prestigious series in 2004, Lautman was a host and contributor on Chicago Public Radio for two decades, covering a wide variety of subjects. As reguar contributor to the daily magazine program “848” she hosted segments on everything from art, architecture and design to medicine, education and technology, while also supplying personal essays. Earlier, Lautman founded, hosted, and co-produced the weekly arts and culture show, Artistic License, which aired for eight years. On television, Lautman has been a regular segment host on WTTW (“Chicago Tonight” and “Artbeat Chicago”), a host and producer on CBS-2 (“Eye on Chicago”), and before that, appeared regularly as a cultural correspondent for WMAQ Channel 5. In print, Victoria Lautman has been the Chicago city editor for Metropolitan Home magazine, Art & Auction, and Architectural Record. Her articles on art, architecture, design, and fashion have appeared in the Chicago Tribune, Interview, HG, Elle Décor, the Chicago Sun-Times, the Reader, Architectural Digest, USA Today, and many other publications. Her book The New Tattoo was published in 1994 by Abbeville Press. She is currently a Contributing Editor to Chicago magazine. Before coming to Chicago, Lautman spent four years at the Smithsonian Institution’s Hirshhorn Museum as a lecturer and education coordinator. She has an M.A. in art history.
